Thanks @MichelDiz and Tejas! I was trying to run it on Ubuntu because I read that that’s the only way I get to try out enterprise features? I guess I don’t need to worry about that? I was a little concerned because I read this post http://discuss.hypermode.com/t/dropping-support-for-windows-and-mac/12913/11 but perhaps this information is now outdated and dgraph on docker on m1 works just fine?
The error above came when I was running Dgraph on Ubuntu on Docker on M1, got a bit too creative there perhaps? 
System has not been booted with systemd as init system (PID 1). Can’t operate.
Failed to connect to bus: Host is down
