Question about maxValueThreshold and the Compression

1. Badger support 2 kinds of compression: Snappy and ZSTD, but the compress only work for SSTable`, the value log doesn’t have any compression, Is that right?

2. If so, I want to use ZSTD compression to compress my data, but the value size is more than maxValueThreshold(1MB), so the compression actually doesn’t work. Is it safe to modify the maxValueThreshold to 10MB?

1. Yes, value logs do not support compression. They do support encryption though.
2. Yes, it should be okay to increase it to 10MB.
