it’s breaking my heart trying to use graphql right now 
I was searching for how to do Count total before pagination in graphql and stumbled upon this post.
perhaps as a solution to unblocking this you can use it in conjunction with a directive like Create a GraphQL Query from a Sequence of Queries so that we can then get the @export/@var directives please.
and please also make the rand function available in graphql
